Bar exam question bank

Practice questions that read like the exam.

Each fact-pattern question gives a realistic set of facts, a call of the question, and four plausible choices. After every answer you see the rule that decides it and why each choice is right or wrong. There are 4008 of these, written for this course and keyed to the same sourced rules as the lessons. They are not NCBE items. Use the official practice center for those. A second set of 1704 short rule drills tests recall of rules, attack order, traps, and distinctions. They are quick retrieval practice, not exam-style questions, so the bank opens on the fact-pattern set.

Nine question types

Bar exam question bank: knowing a rule means more than recognizing its wording.

Fact-pattern questions come first. Each module also has eight drill types: rule recognition, attack order, traps, application, missing propositions, neighboring distinctions, essay formulation, and error repair.

01

Fact pattern

Apply the rule to new facts and choose the best result, with a reason for every choice.

02

Rule

Select the most precise governing proposition.

03

Sequence

Choose the next step in the attack order.

04

Trap

Identify the attractive but legally defective shortcut.

05

Application

Apply doctrine to an original fact pattern.

06

Elements

Restore a missing proposition or limitation.

07

Distinction

Separate neighboring rules that candidates confuse.

08

Essay

Select a point-producing rule formulation.

09

Repair

Correct a flawed candidate analysis.
