NextGen UBE Complete Scope & Coverage Map

Every published NextGen content category, mapped to training.

The NextGen UBE scope and coverage map is this course's audit trail. The map below ties the July 2026–February 2027 official content scope to doctrine lessons, the 28 assessable lawyering tasks, the 12 recalled professional-responsibility rules, supplied-law contexts, and exam-format practice. The 28 tasks are organized into 4 groups: Analysis, investigation, and evaluation, Counseling, negotiation, and client management, Legal research, Legal writing and drafting. Professional responsibility adds 22 recalled Model Rule groups on top of the task matrix, since NextGen tests ethics inside the same lawyering-skills tasks rather than as a separate subject. Use this map to confirm nothing in the official scope is missing from the course, not to decide what to study first: the study guide and syllabus tools handle sequencing.

Foundational doctrine

NextGen UBE scope and coverage: current subjects plus the scheduled family-law transition.

Eight subjects are foundational from July 2026 through February 2028. Family Law appears with supplied resources during that period and becomes foundational in July 2028.

SUPPLIED-LAW CONTEXT · JULY 2026–FEBRUARY 2028

Family Law and Trusts & Estates appear in skills-focused questions on every exam.

The course trains source reading and application for both contexts. Candidates are not asked to build an independent memorized doctrine base for these supplied-law questions during this transition period.
