Format and score
BARBRI's Pennsylvania page lists the UBE on February 23 and 24, 2027 and July 27 and 28, 2027, with the MBE at 50 percent (200 questions), the MEE at 30 percent (six 30-minute essays on Business Associations and the MBE subjects) and the MPT at 20 percent (two 90-minute tasks). A scaled score of 270 out of 400 passes, and the MPRE requirement is 75.
Deadlines and fees
For the February exam, the page lists $750 due October 30, $1,075 by November 30 and $1,400 by December 15. For July, $750 due March 31, $1,075 by April 30 and $1,400 by May 15. Fingerprints, laptop use ($115 standard, $165 late) and MBE score transfer cost extra. Late filing costs $325 more at the first tier and $650 more at the final tier. Filing on time saves more than most bar prep promotions.
No state-specific component
BARBRI's page says Pennsylvania does not require a separate state exam or coursework as part of licensure. That makes the choice simpler than in Florida, Virginia or California: pick the national course you will actually finish.
Choosing a Pennsylvania bar exam course
Ask each provider for a graded MEE sample and its turnaround time, how many licensed MBE questions are included and when access ends relative to your exam date. Our BARBRI vs. Themis and Themis vs. Kaplan pages set out the differences.
Because the UBE score can move to other jurisdictions, a candidate who might practice in another UBE state later should also ask whether the course covers the essay subjects tested on the MEE beyond the Business Associations topic BARBRI lists.
